چکیده

Since its infestation was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, October 2006, Corythurcha ciliata has become an important piercing-sucking pest of Platanus occidentalis. In this paper, the content secondary plant products, nutrients, and resistance enzymes damaged leaves P. occidentalis determined, infested by different numbers adults (0 head, 1–3 heads, or >7 heads) were tested via spectrum analysis. The results showed that tannin 1.47 mg/100 g, which higher than undamaged (1.20 mg/g). control poplar (Populus × euramericana cv.‘74/76’) 0.2 g leaves. soluble sugar intact (1.35 g) significantly C. feeding can induce increase defense enzymes, such as peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase, phenylalanine ammonia lyase, host west south part crown, 580–680 nm is a sensitive band for monitoring ciliata. study be used to reveal host-selection mechanism explore new infestation-monitoring technologies.

Changes in Pigment and Element Composition of Leaves of Platanus occidentalis L. during Autumnal Leaf Senescence1

The loss of chlorophyll and total leaf nitrogen during autumnal senescence of leaves from the deciduous tree Platanus occidentalis L. was accompanied by a marked decline in the photosynthetic capacity of 02 evolution on a leaf area basis. When expressed on a chlorophyll basis, however, the capacity for lightand C02-saturated O2 evolution did not decline, but rather increased as leaf chlorophyll...

Identification of an Alarm Pheromone-Binding Chemosensory Protein From the Invasive Sycamore Lace Bug Corythucha ciliata (Say)

The spread of the exotic insect pest sycamore lace bug Corythucha ciliata (Say) is increasing worldwide. The identification of behaviorally active compounds is crucial for reducing the current distribution of this pest. In this study, we identified and documented the expression profiles of genes encoding chemosensory proteins (CSPs) in the sycamore lace bug to identify CSPs that bind to the ala...

Assimilation of xylem-transported 13C-labelled CO2 in leaves and branches of sycamore (Platanus occidentalis L.)

Previous reports have shown that CO(2) dissolved in xylem sap in tree stems can move upward in the transpiration stream. To determine the fate of this dissolved CO(2), the internal transport of respired CO(2) at high concentration from the bole of the tree was simulated by allowing detached young branches of sycamore (Platanus occidentalis L.) to transpire water enriched with a known quantity o...
